Outside the restaurant is a wall full of pictures of the food they serve. If that's not enough to get you inside, then maybe the smell of fresh pizza coming out of their brick oven will do you in. Bistro Ravioli prides itself in making both pizza and pasta from scratch using only fresh ingredients.
The branch in Robinson's Place Ermita is quite spacious, and it can accommodate more than 50 diners.
Spinach and Feta Cheese Ravioli in Pesto Sauce (245 php)
This ravioli is their best-seller, according to our server. The pasta was delightfully chewy, and they were adequately stuffed with spinach and feta. The pomodoro sauce was not too acidic, much to my liking, and the sliced tomatoes weren't too mushy. I was also a fan of the pesto. The garlic bread on the side was toasted just right. I found this dish quite balanced and enjoyable.
Diablo Chicken Wings (280 php)
Other must-tries:
(1) Shrimp and Basil Pesto Pizza (375 php) - We really enjoyed this, as it reminded us of Amici's, but Bisto Ravioli's version had much more toppings. Also, we had toasted the leftovers for breakfast, and they tasted even more amazing!
(2) Three Cheese Ravioli (245 php)- My dad isn't really fond of cheese, but this changed his mind! Very subtle flavors come from the mozarella, cream cheese and cheddar combination. Personally, I prefer this over the Spinach and Feta Ravioli.
This is another restaurant that I wish would open a branch nearer to home! I also want to try out their desserts (Tiramisu, Choco Lava, etc.) next time.
